3 things to know this morning – November 2, 2023

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Here's what you should know to start your Thursday.

1. The proposed Lava Ridge wind farm could be denied if congress passes a new bill that would require the Department of Interior to reject permits for wind and solar energy projects on public lands if state legislatures don't want them.

2. The Idaho AG department continues to take samples of the Snake River near Twin Falls where the Quagga Mussel Larva was found. So far, the samples have been good. However, the treated areas will remain closed for the time being.

3. The Idaho Transportation Department is hosting an online open house to preview a new project coming to the Blackfoot corridor of Interstate 15. ITD is looking at eventually widening the interstate from Idaho Falls to Pocatello to three lanes each way.
