Evacuations ordered in wildfire south of Moab
MOAB, Utah (AP) — A wildfire sparked by an abandoned campfire is forcing evacuations south of Moab.
KTVX reports the evacuations are mandatory for all private property on the east side of Geyser Pass.
They were ordered after the fire called the fire breached a road.
Four primary buildings and six secondary structures have been destroyed in the Pack Creek area.
Five primary structures were damaged by the blaze that's now scorched 8 square miles. Â
The fire is burning through grass, brush and timber.
The terrain is rugged, with steep canyons and basins.
