CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - General election voting is underway in Wyoming.

Counties mailed out just over 75,000 absentee ballots on Friday, said Ross Breedlove, the election records and research analyst with the Secretary of State's Office. People were also able to go to their county elections office starting Friday to vote an in-person absentee ballot.

Registered voters can still request absentee ballots, which will continue to be mailed out daily, or they can pick them up in person, through Nov. 2.

The general election is Nov. 3 and county polling places will be open, Breedlove said.

Clerks are encouraging people to vote early by mail to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
