Highland’s Ian Hershey announces commitment to play football at Idaho State

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - Another talented local player will play college football in Pocatello, as Highland Kicker Ian Hershey announced via Twitter his commitment to Idaho State on Sunday.

Hershey starred for the 5A state finalist Highland Rams in the kicking game, hitting many long distance field goals throughout the season.

That includes a state record 58-yard field goal against Rocky Mountain in the 5A quarterfinals and a game-winning 42-yard field goal in the semifinals at Eagle.

Ian was featured as our Sermon Service and Electric Athlete of the Week earlier this year on November 17th.

Congratulations to Ian and his family and good luck at Idaho State!
