Rigby Girls Basketball punches ticket to states with 53-40 win over Idaho Falls

RIGBY, Idaho (KIFI) - The Rigby Trojans are heading to the 5A state tournament thanks to a 53-40 victory over the Idaho Falls Tigers Thursday night.

The Trojans take the second of two berths from District 5-6 after Thunder Ridge won the district title on Tuesday.

Rigby and Idaho Falls traded baskets early, then the Trojans pulled away for the double-digit win.

Next up, Rigby and Thunder Ridge represent East Idaho as two of eight teams in next week's 5A state tournament.
