Aberdeen Girls Basketball falls in 2A state championship to Cole Valley

NAMPA, Idaho (KIFI) - After pulling off an upset in Friday's semifinal, the Aberdeen Tigers fell short of a state title in a 58-45 loss to Cole Valley in the 2A State Championship Saturday.

The Tigers fought hard the whole way, taking the lead in a close game 31-29 early on in the third quarter.

But after the two teams entered the fourth quarter tied at 37, the Chargers outscored the Tigers 21-8 to claim the state title.

Aberdeen completes its season with a second-place finish in the state tournament and a 2A District 5 title.
