After long losing streak against Paddleheads, Chukars avoid sweep with 8-4 victory

MISSOULA, MT (KIFI) - The Idaho Falls Chukars, at long last, have picked up their first win of the season against the Missoula Paddleheads, avoiding a sweep Friday night with an 8-4 win.

Despite trailing 3-1 early, Idaho Falls rattled five unanswered runs, including three in the sixth inning, to take a lead it would not surrender.

Steve Barmakian and Brendan Hueth each recorded two hits and an RBI while Dusty Stroup drove in a pair of runs as well.

Next up, the Chukars begin a nine-game homestead Saturday, starting with the first of a three-game series against the Ogden Raptors at 7:05 p.m.
