Chukars ride grand slam and more to 9-6 victory in series opener against Great Falls

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - After a blowout loss Monday, the Idaho Falls Chukars got back in the win column Tuesday night 9-6 to start a six-game set against the Great Falls Voyagers.

Great Falls took a 3-0 lead, but in the third, Dusty Stroup hit a grand slam to straightaway center field to turn the deficit into a 4-3 advantage.

The Chukars continued to score runs and never surrendered the lead in the 9-6 win.

Next up, game two of the series is set for Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m.
