Chukars drop fifth straight game, losing 8-6 in series opener against Boise

BOISE, Idaho (KIFI) - The Idaho Falls Chukars continue to struggle, losing to the Boise Hawks 8-6 Tuesday night, extending their losing streak to five games and tying their season-worst skid.

It was a back-and-forth battle, and the Chuks did lead 4-3 at one point after a Steve Barmakian RBI single and a Hunter Hisky RBI double.

However, Boise scored five of the next six runs to take a lead the Hawks would not give up.

Next up, the Chukars battle the Hawks in a doubleheader Wednesday with game 1 at 11:00 a.m. and game 2 at 7:00 p.m.
