New Spud Kings player Kristian Neddo excited to compete for his hometown junior hockey team

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - The inaugural Idaho Falls Spud Kings roster will include an Idaho Falls native, as the team signed Kristian Neddo last Friday.

Neddo is excited for this big opportunity, and he said his family and friends are already getting ready for this season.

"Just from what I'm told," Neddo said. "There's already 2,000 season tickets sold, and half of my season tickets are friends and family, so I kind of got a lot to live up to for them, and I genuinely cannot wait for the season to start. I'm very excited and I can't wait for the Spud Kings to take ice."

Neddo developed his hockey skills in the Idaho Falls Eagles and Idaho Falls Tigers programs, and he is thankful to everybody who has helped him reach this point.

"Honestly, I cannot extend my gratitude enough to the people who I've grown up playing with or against, especially the coaches," Neddo said. "Each coach throughout my life, I can only really say thank you, and I give them a handshake because I cannot fully express the gratitude that I have for them, and how much they've actually done for me through the years."

Neddo and the Spud Kings take the ice for the first time in October, and the first game at the Mountain America Center is set for Dec. 2nd.
