Experience Rexburg teaches residents about the community

REXBURG, Idaho (KIFI)- Businesses and community members gathered in Porter Park to showcase Rexburg's growth and show the new college students what their adopted community has to offer.

Luke Saunders, a first semester student at BYU-I, says event was a chance to learn outside of the classroom. "I have learned there's a lot more to Rexburg than I previously thought. I'm out of state, so, I didn't know all these different companies and organizations are here, and now I'm seeing all of them."

Daniel Hallstrom has been in the Rexburg Community for a few years. He says the event showed just how the community has changed. "From what I've seen Rexburg has always been about change.  It's been different every single year."

Hallstrom says it's nice seeing the community heal after the COVID-19 pandemic closed everything down. "It's been good to see people get out here and have fun and feel, like lots of new businesses in the community; They're opening back up again, after everything closed down. It's been really good."

Hallstrom, Saunders and others embraces the community and learned more about what the local businesses offer to their experience in Rexburg.
