Freeze Warning and Frost Advisory in effect until Monday morning

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI)- A combination of a Freeze Warning and a Frost Advisory is in place for growing zones until Monday morning. Those conditions will be a factor the next few mornings. That will be accompanied by breezy conditions picking up Sunday night and into Monday morning. A mid-week warm-up will get temperatures back above normal.

Snow is falling the southern and eastern highlands. Around 2 to 4 inches is anticipated to fall through Monday.

The winds will pick up Sunday evening from the north to 10 to 14 mph with gusts as high as 22 mph. Those speeds will ramp up to 15 to 24 mph and 38 mph gusts as we get deeper in to the night. With the winds coming from he north and northeast, it will carry a little more bite and will make more impact at lower speeds.

The overnight low will be in the mid 30's under mostly cloudy skies. A freeze Warning and Frost Advisory will be in effect until Monday at 9 am.

It will be a windy start to the work week with 15 to 22 mph winds from the north Monday morning. Gusts could be as high as 34 mph. A mostly cloudy start will gradually be sunny with a high in the mid-50's. The winds will let up some Monday night, down to 5 to 14 mph with 23 mph gusts. Another chilly night and likely freeze warning coming with the low in the low 30's.

Conditions will start to warm up and calm down on Tuesday. Sunny skies with a high in the low to mid 60's, with some light winds in single digit speeds. The overnight low landing in the mid 30's. More seasonable temperatures through the rest of the week with above average temperatures expected for the weekend.
