Blizzard conditions possible for Monday
TONIGHT: We currently have isolated snow showers covering much of the region with windy conditions. These conditions should continue into the nighttime hours. We then should see the snow showers move towards the southern highlands, SE Idaho, and western WY only for the overnight hours. Winds will be much calmer between 5-10 mph overnight after staying breezy tonight between 10-20 mph. Low temperatures get down to the 20's and lower 30's.
TOMORROW: Scattered snow showers and very gusty winds will look to provide blowing snow conditions during most of the day Monday for the entire region. Rain showers might mix in with the snow showers for the valleys of the Snake River Plain and Magic Valley during the afternoon. Sustained winds will be breezy between 15-25 mph. High temperatures will get into the upper 30's and lower 40's.
LONG TERM: The blowing snow conditions Monday overnight into Tuesday before we finally calm down with only stray snow showers and calmer winds for Wednesday. By the end of Tuesday, anywhere within the region could expect anywhere between 2 to 8 inches of snow. Another round of snow showers will come back in for Thursday with more windy conditions that will continue into Friday. Next weekend poses the best chance for dry weather and calm winds. High temperatures remain consistently into the 30's and 40's until next weekend where we could see them slightly rise to the 40's and low 50's.
