Snow rain and wind take over today and Election Day morning
Front comes through and does a number on us today. Winds will push 30-45+mph and combined with some rains and snow mix, will make for hazardous travel. Slick conditions take over as most of us have hit the highs for the day and temperatures will be dropping to freezing into tonight for snow and rain into the valley. Some accumulations are expected 1-4" for valley areas and mountain communities 4-8". Front will take cold air into new ranges for the valley by late week with lows in the tweens and single digits by Friday.

WINTER STORM WARNING FOR MOUNTAINS -Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5
inches in the valleys and up to 8 inches on mountain passes.
Above 6,500 feet, accumulations will range 7 to 12 inches, with
isolated areas of up to 17 inches along the highest terrain.
