Rough landing at Idaho Falls Regional Airport causes delays
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI)- A rough landing at the Idaho Falls Regional Airport (IDA), caused delays to commercial air travel Sunday afternoon.
A single engine propeller aircraft, a Bonanza B36TC, made an emergency landing on IDA's main runway at approximately 11:28 a.m. after the landing gear malfunctioned.
No injuries were reported.
After the aircraft landed without its landing gear, it was unable to move off the runway, and IDA officials and Idaho Falls Firefighters responded.
The runway was closed for about two and a half hours, so crews could move the small plane.
The runway closure did delay commercial air travel at the airport, but IDA operations have resumed to normal.
