AG Office releases opinion on bill to ban transgender women athletes

BOISE, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK) - The Idaho Attorney General's Office released an opinion on a bill by Idaho Falls Representative Barbara Ehardt to ban transgender females from playing on high school and college female teams.

The opinion released Tuesday says the bill could violate the 14th Amendment's equal protection clause and would likely lead to court challenges if it becomes a law.
