Madison County Sheriff investigates fatal crash near Teton
REXBURG, Idaho (KIFI) – Two people were killed Wednesday in a crash on Idaho Highway 33 and 8000 East near Teton.
Madison County Sheriff's Office said a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup and a 2011 Toyota Tundra pickup crashed around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025.
The driver of the Chevrolet pickup was taken to the hospital. The driver and the passenger in the Tundra were pronounced dead at the scene.
Madison County Coroner Sam Butikofer said the driver was Richard E. Griswold, 77, of St. Anthony, and his wife, Jana Lee Griswold, 68.
They said the crash is still under investigation.
Traffic was diverted around the accident for nearly 4 hours.
