Skyline secures 43-32 victory over Pocatello in the Gate City

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) — Skyline picked up a 43-32 win over Pocatello Friday night in the Gate City.

The Grizzlies struck first in the opening quarter when quarterback John Gianninni connected with Caden Cruz for a touchdown to give Skyline an early 7-0 lead.

Pocatello answered when Rhev Stucki found Isaac Allen for a score to cut into the Skyline advantage.

The Grizzlies went back in front in the second quarter behind a rushing touchdown from Cash Webster. Skyline followed it up with a successful two-point conversion when Sam DeMott was left open in the end zone.

Just before halftime, Pocatello responded again as Jerom Curtner punched it in from just inches away from the goal line.

The Thunder attempted a two-point conversion to tie the game, but the pass fell incomplete.

Skyline pulled away in the second half and went on to secure the 43-32 victory over Pocatello.
