The Bonneville Bees secure a narrow 7-6 victory against the Pocatello Thunder

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) – The Bonneville Bees secured a 7-6 victory over the Pocatello Thunder in Pocatello. The matchup marked the first meeting between the two teams since 2021.

Pocatello held a 6-0 lead in the second half before Bonneville scored a touchdown to take a one-point lead. The Bees' defense then held off Pocatello to preserve the narrow win.

That eventual game-winning touchdown came when Bonneville quarterback Jaxton Briggs completed a pass down the middle to senior Ryan Flynn, who ran the ball all the way into the end zone for the score. The big play gave Bonneville a 7-6 lead.

Pocatello took over on offense but was halted on third down when Rhev Stucki was sacked by a group of Bonneville defenders, with Andrew Harrison involved in the play.

Bonneville running back Cooper Stephenson, wearing No. 8, added multiple gains on the ground by driving through traffic, picking up a lot of yards after contact. Neither offense scored the rest of the way, and the final score remained 7-6 in favor of the Bees.
