Truck Found In Idaho Falls Gun Shop Burglary

A local gun shop is still closed after somebody stole eight firearms on Sunday.

While the thief is still out there, Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office deputies have found the vehicle they believe was involved in the Sunday morning heist.

Deputies say someone tried to break into The Gun Shop on North Holmes Avenue through the garage door, but when the thief couldn’t get in, he or she drove a small pickup truck into the front of the building.

They said the truck was found behind a building across the street with extensive damage, but the owner claims it was stolen.

Gun Shop owners said the shop did not have any security cameras and they expect to be closed for about a week.

The sheriff’s office needs your help in finding the thief and guns.

If you have any information, you’re asked to call the sheriff’s office at 529-1200.

Crimestoppers is offering a reward for tips that lead to an arrest.
