Police Investigating After Body Found At Rail Yard
North Salt Lake police are trying to determine why an unclothed man’s body ended up near train tracks in a rail yard.
The body was reported Sunday morning in a remote gated area with restricted access. Police say there was no obvious trauma on the body, and say it’s unlikely that he was hit by a train.
Authorities say identifying the man has been difficult because he was covered in mud and not found with any clothes or other identifying items.
Officers aren’t sure whether the man died at the scene or was taken to the railroad yard after his death.
The body has been transported to the state medical examiner’s office.
