Truck overturns, blocks I-15 traffic in Idaho Falls

Both lanes of southbound Interstate 15 are closed near where it intersects with U.S. Highway 20 in Idaho Falls after a truck accident.

The closure comes because a semi-truck overturned on the on-ramp near Exit 119 around 3:45 p.m. Monday. The truck also blocked the main southbound lanes.

Authorities determined the truck is not carrying hazardous material. Crews were waiting for a wrecker to remove the truck from the interstate.

Traffic is being diverted through Roberts. I-15 southbound would likely be open around 6 or 7 p.m.
