Man accused of biting officer faces numerous charges

An Idaho Falls man is in jail after police said he bit an officer.

But that’s not all Marvin Mcdonald is accused of.

Officers were called to the 600 block of North Fanning in Idaho Falls for reports of a man with a gun Sunday. A woman at a home said Mcdonald made her friends leave and took her phone so she couldn’t call for help.

Officers found the gun, which turned out to be a BB gun. When officers tried to arrest Mcdonald, he resisted and bite an officer, police said.

He faces charges of aggravated assault, burglary, felon in possession of a firearm, domestic battery in the presence of children, battery on a police officer, removal of a telephone and resisting arrest.
