Man arrested in Burley Walgreens robbery

Twin Falls man is being held in the Cassia County Jail in connection with a holdup at Walgreen’s Pharmacy in Burley.

The Cassia County Sheriff’s office said Chandler Lee Palmer, 22, walked into the pharmacy and handed the clerk a note demanding pain medication. The man left the store with an undisclosed amount of medication. No weapons were involved.

A 911 caller spotted the car believed to have been used in the robbery on Interstate 84. Deputies attempted to stop the black Acura CI, but the driver attempted to outrun police at a high speed. He eventually pulled over in Jerome County.

Palmer was the only occupant of the car. He was arrested on felony charges of burglary, robbery, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, destruction of evidence and eluding.
