Kelly Canyon Ski Resort opens

Kelly Canyon Ski Resort opened for skiers Tuesday.

Skiers enthusiastically took to the slopes with weather more fit for spring skiing. Sunshine and warm temperatures brought in one longtime skier.

“Very excited. Haven’t been skiing in a couple of years, so, we’re definitely going to get a run or two in. I enjoy being outside, love going down the slopes, it’s just great! This is a good opening day and the sun is shining, couldn’t be better. I’ll be 78 in April, so, it keeps you active and healthy, you know,” said the skier.

Kelly Canyon currently has 28 inches at the base and 40 inches at the top.

Night skiing is also open.
