Air quality advisory for Salmon area lifted

Update: The Department of Environmental Quality has lifted its advisory for the Salmon area. Air quality has returned to good levels according to the DEQ.

Original story: The Department of Environmental Quality has issued an air quality alert for the city of Salmon and the surrounding areas.

Air quality in the area is considered to be unhealthy for sensitive groups. Those sensitive to air quality changes are recommended to stay indoors as much as possible. All others should limit outdoor activity as much as possible.

While the air quality advisory is in effect all outdoor burning is prohibited. The DEQ will reevaluate the air quality each day and advise the public when the advisory is lifted.
