Animal Shelter holds holiday open house
The Snake River Animal Shelter held a holiday open house and artisan fair Friday.
It’s the first open house it’s had since opening in August. The event is to celebrate and showcase the animals at the shelter. The executive director of the shelter, Kristin Sanger, said they’ve adopted out over 130 animals since opening.
“We have a tendency to think shelter animals are just mutts, but honestly those animals they have the best character. They are just full of gratitude and they just have a tendency to be very gentle, very kind and they’re unique,” she said.
