Two arrested after man fails to appear at felony court hearing
The Bonneville County Sheriff’s office has arrested two people after one of the two failed to appear for a felony court hearing.
According to the sheriff’s office deputies were able to locate William Dean Whitmore, 41-years-old, at a home in the 600 block of I Street in Idaho Falls. Whitmore had an outstanding felony warrant for failing to appear at a felony hearing on drug related charges. When deputies arrived at the address they contacted Lacy Jo Moedl, 37-years-old, told deputies that Whitmore was inside the home and agreed to go in and get him.
After waiting for several minutes the deputies said it became clear that Moedl did not intend to bring Whitmore out of the home. The deputies knocked on the door several more times, but eventually had to enter the home by forcing entry. Inside the home deputies located Whitmore, Moedl and 2 other adults, a male and female. Deputies also located drug paraphernalia and Methamphetamine. A search warrant for the home was obtained and further drug charges are pending.
Whitmore was arrested for the outstanding felony warrant. Moedl was arrested for harboring a wanted felon. Both were booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
