Oseguera sentenced to 25 years for kidnapping

Alavaro Oseguera, one of five accused kidnappers, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison as part of a plea bargain.

Oseguera was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years fixed jail time, 15 years indeterminate. This is the maximum sentence for 2nd degree kidnapping.

The court says they will give Oseguera credit for time already served.

Oseguera is one of five people that kidnappedBrandon Bykonen on August 27, 2015. On that date, just before 7:30 a.m., Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the area of East Lincoln Road for a report of a man down. Upon arrival, deputies found Bykonen and he was taken to Eastern Idaho Medical Center.He lost his left pinky finger.
