Making filing taxes easier
Tax season is well and underway and the April 18 filing deadline is just around the corner.
It’s not exactly a tax people look forward to, but there are some easy ways to make sure you’re getting the biggest refund possible.
“A lot of people who could qualify for the earned income credit, for example, don’t apply for it,” registered investment adviser Jennifer Landon said. “A CPA, a trained tax professional, would help make sure that you were utilizing all of the credits and deductions, and write-offs that you’re entitled to.”
Another tip Landon recommend is filing your taxes electronically to avoid mistakes and speed up the refund process.
If you’ve completely procrastinated and you can’t make the deadline, you can always file an extension.
