Update: Missing girls found safe in New Mexico

Update:Two small Utah girls who authorities say were taken by their parents who had lost custody were found safe in a New Mexico motel after an Amber Alert went out to Utah and all neighboring states.

Clinton Police Lt. Shawn Stoker said a hotel clerk in Gallup, New Mexico found the girls after recognizing the father early Friday from the Amber Alert. Police said they suspected the parents were on drugs and possibly dangerous. They were taken into police custody.

Stoker says Utah Child Protective Services is working with New Mexico officials to decide what to do with the girls.
