One killed in Twin Falls shooting
Update 05/29/2017 2:27 pm: The Twin Falls County Coroner’s Office has identified a Twin Falls man as the victim of a fatal shooting.
The Times-News reports William Newton Scott died Friday night in what authorities are calling a homicide.
City Spokesman Joshua Palmer says Billy Duane Johnson, also of Twin Falls, is being held on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm while police investigate the shooting.
Scott died at the scene after life-saving efforts by police and paramedics were unsuccessful.
Original Story: One man is dead and another is in custody following an apparent shooting at a home in south-central Idaho.
The Times-News reports that Twin Falls police responded to a residence at about 6:45 p.m. Friday and attempted life-saving measures on a man bleeding from his upper body before covering him with a sheet.
Police then questioned another man and took him into custody.
Names haven’t been released.
