Fire Weather Watch for Friday
The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for Friday.
“A system moving over the Canada/Idaho/Montana borders will bring gusty winds mainly across our Southern areas tomorrow. These gusty winds along with low relative humidity will create hazardous fire conditions.” “FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY AT NOON THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING AT 9 PM MDT FOR STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 427 AND 413 BELOW 6000 FEET.” * AFFECTED AREA…Fire weather zone 427 and 413 below 6000 feet. * WIND…West winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts around 25 to 30 mph. * HUMIDITY…10 to 16 percent. * IMPACTS…Any fires that develop or are already burning will likely spread rapidly.
