Hernandez pleads not guilty in Ammon homicide
Jameion K. Hernandez, 20, pleaded not guilty in 7th District Court in Idaho Falls Tuesday to charges of first-degree murder.
Hernandez was arrested last summer, shortly after the nearly mummified remains of Lisa Stukey were found in her Ammon home.
In an earlier hearing, prosecutors said Stukey was romantically involved with Hernandez’s grandfather, Dwayne.
Investigators said she apparently died of blunt force trauma caused by a baseball bat.
Hernandez is scheduled for jury trial beginning April 10, 2018.
If convicted, he faces a possible death penalty or life in prison.
