Rexburg winter parking ordinance to take effect
Rexburg will begin enforcing its winter parking ordinance December 15, 2017. It will remain in effect until March 1, 2018.
The ordinance prohibits overnight parking on all streets within city limits from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m. through the period.
It is intended to help keep streets clear so that snow plows can more effectively clear streets.
During that time period, car owners may be cited and the car towed to city impound lots. Owners will be responsible for all impound costs and daily storage fees.
