Man killed in Logan crash
Police have identified the man who died from a crash in a Logan intersection over the weekend.
Luis A. Vital, 25, of Wendell, Idaho, was driving a Chevrolet Traverse that collided with a Mini Cooper about 4 p.m. Saturday in the intersection of 1400 North and 200 East, according to Logan police. Vital later died from his injuries at a hospital.
Police reported a 2-year-old in Vital’s vehicle was taken to a hospital by medical helicopter with serious injuries following the crash, but no updates on the child’s condition were available Sunday.
A woman and two other children in the Traverse were also treated for injuries at a hospital. The woman driving the Mini Cooper suffered minor injuries, Logan police said.
Logan Police Chief Gary Jensen said following the crash that the Mini Cooper turned left to go onto 200 South at a yellow traffic light and that the Traverse, traveling east on 1400 North, T-boned it. Jensen said Sunday that police were still investigating fault.
