One person killed in Fort Hall Fire, FBI investigating
UPDATE 2/03/18 6:30 p.m.: Randy’L Teton, spokeswoman for Fort Hall, said a suspect was taken into custody Friday night and is considered a person of interest in Martinez’s death.
The suspect is 32-year-old Rydon Teton, who also goes by the name Rydon Dixey. Dixey is not from Fort Hall, but does have family there so he visits frequently. Dixey is an enrolled member from Fort Washakie, Wyoming.

UPDATE: 20 year-old, Francisco Martinez; a Shoshone-Bannock Tribal member, of Fort Hall was confirmed dead in the fire by Fort Hall Police Department.
It is an active investigation by FHPD and FBI.

ORIGINAL STORY: Fort Hall Police Chief Pat Teton reports one casualty was found after a house fire occurred around 5:22 a.m. Friday on B Street across from the Fort Hall Elementary.
Teton said they are in the process of identifying the body.
At this time, the cause of death of the individual has not been determined and an autopsy will be conducted Teton said.
The FBI Evidence Response Team from Salt Lake City, Utah is responding to the scene.
B Street in front of Fort Hall Elementary has been closed off and will remain closed for on scene investigation.
If you have children attending Fort Hall Elementary, the pickup/drop-off routes have been changed to C street.
Fort Hall Police and the FBI are currently conducting interviews with any possible witnesses.
This situation remains an open investigation.
