High school student suspended for making verbal threats
A Challis High School student has been suspended and placed into custody for making verbal threats to classmates.
Challis High School Principal Rustin Bradshaw called the Custer County Sheriff’s Office in regards to the incident on Thursday.
According to the sheriff’s office, over 25 interviews have been conducted, and officials are still gathering facts and evidence.
Officials report the student has been suspended from school indefinitely and has been placed into custody by the Custer County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office reports it takes these threats very seriously and will do everything possible to make sure students remain safe at the school.
The sheriff’s office is still investigating.
