Parents of missing teenager remaining hopeful
The search continues for missing teenager Jedediah, “Jed” Hall.
The 16-year-old left home the morning of Jan. 22nd and left a note threatening self-harm.
“He’s the perfect kid,” says Allen Hall, Jed’s father.
Jed’s parents describe him as a straight a student, very involved and never in trouble.
“He kept a pretty darn neat room for a teenager.”
“He played soccer,” Amy Hall, Jed’s mother, added. “Real good soccer player had a good time with that. Did a lot of stuff, just a great kid,” Allen Hall continued.
Which is why they say his disappearance is out of the ordinary.
“6:30 in the morning she says something’s wrong, he’s gone. He’s the kind of kid that he’d tell you when he was going to a friend’s house and if they decided they were going to go somewhere else, he’d text or call and let me know he was moving from point a to point b and then when they came back again. So, this was just out of nowhere. Completely out of nowhere.”
The Halls haven’t given up hope and they have a message for their son.
“Come home, contact us, let us know how you’re doing. We’re worried about you,” says Amy Hall.
“I’m not mad at him. He decided that somethings going on and he decided he had to go and do this for a while. Don’t worry about it, come home and everything’s going to be fine,” says Allen Hall.
The Halls also say they’re thankful for the community’s support. If you have any information, contact the Idaho Falls Police Department at 208-529-1200.
