Fire alarm disrupts graduation at ISU

A fire alarm went off during Idaho State University’s graduation Friday night.

Graduates from all different colleges were in the Stephens Performing Arts Center.

About 1600 people were inside when the alarm went off.

They had to be evacuated and wait outside for about 30 minutes.

The reason the alarm went off was due to a glitch with a switch in the control room, there was never any fire.

When fire fighters cleared the building, graduation proceeded as normal.
