Teton Commissioners approve wildlife crossings plan
Teton County, Wyoming Commissioners have approved a Teton County Wildlife Crossings Master Plan. The plan was outlined within the Jackson/Teton Integrated Transportation Plan adopted in September 2015.
The dual purpose of the plan is to protect people in wildlife-vehicle collisions and to avoid detrimental effects to wildlife populations, migration routes, and overall habitat conservation.
County engineers have submitted a capital request of $150,000 for the FY 2019 budget to begin implementing the Master Plan. That budget is still under review.
