Spud Kings sign goalie Ben Di Fiore, the first player in team history
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - The Idaho Falls Spud Kings have begun assembling their inaugural team, and they have signed goalie Ben Di Fiore as the first player in team history.
Di Fiore, a Glens Falls, New York native, most recently played for the Bay State Bobcats in the NA3HL. During the 2021-22 campaign with the Bobcats, Di Fiore was impressive in the crease, posting a .918 save percentage in 25 games.
Spud Kings Head Coach Josh Hoff said Di Fiore will be a great first addition to the team.
"He is a goalie that uses his athleticism to be a top goalie in our league," Hoff said. "Ben also brings veteran leadership on and off the ice. We look forward to Ben leading the way for the Spud Kings."
The Spud Kings inaugural season begins in October with the first home game at the Mountain America Center slated for mid-November.
