Idaho Falls intersection traffic light back in operation

UPDATE 3:30 p.m: The Idaho Transportation Department is estimating the traffic signal at Northgate Mile and Holmes Avenue will be out of service for repairs until at least midnight Wednesday.

IFPD is requesting you avoid the intersection and take alternate routes.

There has been a power failure that has impacted the traffic signals at that location.

Idaho Falls Power has been dispatched and is addressing the issue.

Officials ask you use caution and treat the intersection as a four-way stop.

The Police Department expects the lights to be affected for at least the next 6 hours.
