Ammon launches improvement fund
The city of Ammon is launching a new capital campaign to raise funds for community projects.
The “Invest in Ammon” campaign’s first project will be the McCowin Park tennis courts.
Contributions will go towards a $175,000 effort to improve, patch, and surface the concrete, replace fencing, install new net posts and nets, remove old light posts and install new LED lighting. The work will also include a mow strip around the courts and new striping for tennis and pickleball.
“I invite all Ammon individuals, families, businesses, and organizations to consider a donation to ‘Invest in Ammon.’ This is an ongoing capital campaign, even after we renovate the tennis courts we will use (this fund to) invest in Ammon as a tool to continue to improve quality of life in Ammon from a very grassroots level,” said Mayor Sean Coletti.
Future Invest in Ammon projects have not been detailed.
People can participate at different sponsorship levels.
