Stranded motorist struck by semi

One person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash on southbound Interstate 15 at milepost 79, near Fort Hall, at around 1:13 a.m. Thursday.

Idaho State Police said Rylee Moss, 21, of Pocatello, was in a 2007 Ford Explorer that had broken down partially in the left lane. Michael Empey, 34, of Pocatello was driving a 2019 Peterbuilt semi that collided with Moss.

Moss was taken by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center. The left lane of the interstate was blocked for about an hour for investigation of the crash.
