Utah janitor pleads not guilty to child sex abuse
A Utah janitor has pleaded not guilty to sexually abusing two students at an elementary school south of Salt Lake City.
The Daily Herald of Provo reports 58-year-old Adrian Villar entered the plea Monday.
He is facing two counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child and one count of lewdness involving a child.
Villar, of Santaquin, is accused of following an 8-year-old boy into a bathroom in February 2017 at Sierra Bonita Elementary School in Spanish Fork.
The boy told police Villar abused him there.
Security footage shows Villar went into the same bathroom as the boy for a short period of time.
An 11-year-old boy also accused Villar of abusing him in the school’s shed.
Villar, who is on administrative leave, denied abusing them in police interviews.
