Farm Bureau Insurance CEO to retire
The Executive Vice President and CEO of Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company of Idaho announced today he will retire at the end of the year. Paul Roberts informed the company’s Board of Director earlier this month. He has been with the company for 29 years.
Roberts was appointed Executive Vice President and CEO on July 1, 2014.
“I have a great amount of appreciation and respect for Paul Roberts. He has wisely and tirelessly balanced the demands that this company has placed on him for almost three decades. His years of service not only sustain Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company of Idaho today but set a wonderful tone for those who continue to move this company forward,” said Farm Bureau Board of Directors president, Bryan Searle, in a release to media.
They said Robert’s tenure was marked by significant growth in the size of the company which saw record sales in 2017 and 2018.
Before becoming CEO, Roberts served as CFO of Farm Bureau’s combined companies for 14 years and before that was in the accounting department.
Roberts grew up on a farm near Lava Hot Springs helping his father grow wheat and alfalfa, along with raising cattle. He is a graduate of Marsh Valley High School and attended Idaho State University where he focused on business and accounting, they said.
