American Falls Teacher, Coach Appears In Court

Zenna Galeria, the American Falls teacher’s aide accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student was arraigned in court Monday.

Galeria was never arrested because she cooperated with the police investigation. Sitting in the court roo, she was joined by three girls dressed in American Falls High School volleyball T-shirts.

Galeria had been the school’s volleyball coach.

She waived the right to have her charges read and Judge Paul Laggis granted her a public defender.

Laggis also established that Galeria, currently living in Burley with her parents, can have no contact with the alleged victim.

Galeria faces up to life in prison and a $50,000 fine.

Her preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 26 at 10 a.m.
