Two people were injured in a crash Wednesday morning that involved a school bus.

Idaho State Police said Roberta Martin, 66, of Blackfoot, was driving a Snake River School District bus on state highway 39. She looked in the mirror and was trying to get a student who was standing up to sit down, ISP said. Martin didn?t realize that the traffic in front of her had stopped and ran into the back of a 2009 Chevrolet Impala driven by Jimmie Grant, according to police.

Grant, 35, of Blackfoot was not injured. However, two of his passengers were taken to Bingham Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No one on the school bus was injured.

One northbound lane was blocked for about an hour while the crash was investigated and the injured people were removed from the vehicle. Everyone involved had their seat belts on.
