Third Suspect Arrested In Growing Pot

A third suspect has been arrested in connection with the Kepp’s Crossing pot farm operation.

Bonneville County Sheriff Office said Trevor Lane Smith, 32, of Idaho Falls was arrested Wednesday afternoon on charges of manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Bonneville County-Idaho Falls Special Investigation Unit arrested Smith after serving a search warrant at 162 West 14th Street.

Mark Richard Taberna, 47, of Ammon, and Brent Lee Stigen, 29, of Idaho Falls, were arrested on Tuesday and also charged with felony manufacturing a controlled substance.

The arrests come after a fisherman reported to deputies of finding several marijuana plants growing in the Kepp’s Crossing on August 13.

The sheriff’s office confiscated 12 marijuana plants, capable of producing multiple pounds of pot. The estimated value exceeds $70,000 dollars, they said.
